An enjoyable week on the NSW coast

With our friends Pip and Mully recently moved back to Australia, we were invited to join them and some of their close friends and family for a week away on the Southern NSW coast near the seaside town of Bateman's Bay.

Due to a crazy amount of work, Doug was not able to take the full week off, but I have a little spare time at the moment so headed up on the Sunday night by myself. Pip, Mully and I lived together for over a year in Vancouver, so the first 3 days together was a great opportunity to re-live a lot of great memories and enjoy many great sessions of laughter. On Wednesday morning Doug flew in and drove up to meet us with Pip's sister Lib and mother Sally. A number of their other friends arrived a day or so later and we soon had a crew of around 20 people at the Cabin park.

The next 5 days were filled with some fantastic R&R as we cooked, went for walks, played beach cricket, (2 rounds of golf for Doug-Hmmmmn), enjoyed the surrounding wildlife and simply had an all around good time.

Doug and I considered the week away a pseudo "baby moon" and as we returned home late on the Sunday we both felt rejuvenated and ready for the crazy adventures that 2009 will surely bring.

Here are some Pics from the week away...
